The Malaysia Midnight Sale Carnival made a vibrant return over the long weekend, drawing unprecedented crowds to Mahkota Parade in Melaka and delivering a significant boost to local tourism and economic activity.

Held in conjunction with the May 2025 edition of Melaka Bila Larut Malam, the event blended retail excitement with cultural performances and entertainment. The carnival attracted thousands of visitors, including domestic tourists and travelers from Singapore and Indonesia, resulting in high hotel occupancy rates and increased revenue for local vendors, restaurants, and transportation services.

Running from 10 a.m. to midnight, the event featured a highlight on May 3 known as the Special Sale Moment. Shoppers who spent RM250 or more stood a chance to win prizes valued at over RM20,000. The festivities also included live performances by Datuk Awie and Yasser Atak, engaging games, raffles, a balloon drop, and traditional cultural showcases that celebrated Melaka’s rich heritage.

Organized with from Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Melaka, and various local partners, the carnival is poised to return next year with promises of an even grander retail and cultural experience.
