India, April 17th, 2025: April 9, 2025, was a historic day for mankind as Navkar Mahamantra Diwas was celebrated with deep devotion and mass participation across 6,000+ venues in India and in 108 countries worldwide. Spearheaded by Shri Prithviraj Kothari, Chairman of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), the event witnessed an unprecedented offline and online presence of over 1.88 crore individuals globally. A record-breaking 11.55 lakh registrations were recorded across all physical and digital platforms, marking it as one of the largest spiritual movements in recent history.

The main event was organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, from 8:00 AM IST and was attended by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji as the Chief Guest. While speaking to the assembly, Prime Minister Modi talked about the spiritual strength of the mantra, highlighting the “extraordinary feeling of peacefulness which cannot be put into words and thought, striking deeply within the mind and consciousness.”

The Navkar Mahamantra chanted during the event is an empowering mantra for non-violence, peace, harmony, moral introspection, and spiritual awareness. As a prayer invoking none of the deities but yet paying respects to qualities of illumined souls, it is beyond any boundary or limitation. It was also organized specially on the eve of Mahavir Jayanti, giving the event cultural as well as religious significance.

Commenting on this historic initiative, Shri Prithviraj Kothari, Chairman of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) shared, “Navkar Mahamantra Diwas is not just a spiritual event – it is a movement. A movement towards peace, oneness, and the awakening of inner consciousness. To witness millions, in harmony across nations and cultures reaffirms the timeless power of faith and the unifying strength of the Navkar Mantra”.

Globally, thousands congregated in cities within the United States, United Kingdom, UAE, Singapore, Belgium, Uganda, and Thailand to participate in collective recitation. In Vadodara, Gujarat, 15,000 followers congregated on Navlakhi Ground to make an attempt for a Guinness World Record. Ceremonial chanting was arranged at the Indian Consulate at Dubai by coordinating with JITO Dubai as a mark of the worldwide reach of the event.

The rationale for Navkar Mahamantra Diwas was to share virtues of purity, tolerance, and communal welfare based on a common spiritual practice. By reaching out to communities geographically, the event reaffirmed JITO’s mission for cultivating spiritual consciousness, moral values, and societal integration.

Under the leadership of Shri Kothari, JITO remains a key force in organizing spiritually and socially relevant initiatives that are resonating worldwide. Navkar Mahamantra Diwas is a reminder of the wisdom of ancient India and its applicability in the contemporary world — One World, One Chant: Together for Peace.
