Bangalore, 22 May 2025: In the era when technology and healthcare are converging to create transformative solutions, Eka Care, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is thrilled to announce Ekathon 2025, a premier hackathon aimed at fostering innovation and accelerating digital transformation within India’s healthcare landscape, to be held on 5th and 6th June at Amazon premises, Bangalore. This groundbreaking event invites early-stage startups, independent developers, and visionary innovators to create impactful solutions using Eka Care’s open healthtech developer platform, which is powered by a robust suite of application programming interfaces (APIs). These APIs are already utilised by industry leaders such as Samsung, Google, Medanta, and Metropolis.
At the core of Ekathon 2025 is a commitment to advancing the objectives of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Participants will gain exclusive access to Eka Care’s ABDM-compliant APIs, including Ayushman Bharat Health (ABHA) creation and management, health record linking and consent-based access, and scan and share workflows for OPD and hospital settings. These tools are designed to empower developers to build real-world, scalable solutions that promote interoperability, enhance patient-controlled data access, and encourage widespread provider adoption. By doing so, Ekathon 2025 aims to pave the way for a unified digital health landscape in India.
In addition to the ABDM-focused modules, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with Eka Care’s advanced AI APIs. These include DocAssist, an AI-powered clinical assistant designed for smart documentation; Voice2Rx/Scribe, real-time speech-to-prescription engines that enhance clinical efficiency; intelligent document summarisation for streamlining the processing of medical documents; and AI-driven clinical decision for providing healthcare professionals with data-driven insights to improve patient care.
