New Delhi, 04 April 2025: As a part of its 131st Foundation Day celebrations, Punjab National Bank (PNB), nation’s leading public sector bank, is set to host its first Half Marathon with the theme “Cyber Run” on Thursday, 10 April 2025, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. The flagship event will begin at 5:00 AM, marking a milestone in PNB’s commitment to raising awareness about cybersecurity while promoting a culture of fitness, community, and resilience.

Speaking about the initiative, Shri Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO, PNB, said: “In today’s digital era, cybersecurity awareness is not just an option but a necessity. The PNB Half Marathon 2025 symbolises our commitment to fostering a culture of digital safety while promoting health and unity. At PNB, we believe that financial well-being goes hand in hand with physical well-being, and through this initiative, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge to stay secure in an increasingly digital world.”

The PNB Half Marathon 2025 will bring together professionals, fitness enthusiasts, cyber experts, and citizens, exemplifying PNB’s commitment to financial security, digital awareness, and community well-being. Participants will be able to run through Delhi’s scenic routes in an electrifying atmosphere while advocating for digital safety.

The marathon features three categories: the Challenging 21.1K Half Marathon, starting at 5:00 AM for participants aged 18 and above; the Energetic 10K, beginning at 6:30 AM for participants aged 15 and above; and the Fun-Filled 5K, kicking off at 7:00 AM for participants aged 10 and above.

With a total cash prize of Rs 15 lakh, winners across all categories (men & women) will be awarded. The 21.1K Half Marathon category will offer the following cash awards: ₹2 lakh for the winner, ₹1.5 lakh for the first runner-up, and ₹1 lakh for the second runner-up. In the Energetic 10K category, the winners will be awarded ₹1.5 lakh, with the first runner-up receiving ₹1 lakh and the second runner-up taking home ₹50,000. PNB will also be felicitating senior citizens for their spirit and resilience in leading a healthy and secure life.
