Delhi NCR/ Coimbatore, May 22, 2025 — On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day, SUEZ India, in collaboration with Noble Citizen Foundation, organised a public awareness event at Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity Park around the theme “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development.” The event highlighted the need to protect biodiversity through immersive community participation.

The programme featured a powerful Nukkad Natak (street play) performed by volunteers, showcasing the vital role every species plays in maintaining ecological balance. The act urged citizens to adopt environmentally conscious behaviours to a sustainable future.
A key attraction was the Biodiversity Walk, which saw enthusiastic participation from students of a local government school. The walk aimed to sensitise young minds to the value of nature and the importance of protecting natural ecosystems amid rapid urban development.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rasmi Ranjan Ray, CEO – SUEZ India, said, “Our visit to the Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity Park on World Biodiversity Day was more than symbolic, it was a hands-on experience that deepened our connection with nature. From understanding the local flora and fauna to engaging with students and the community, the day truly brought our sustainability values to life. At SUEZ India, we believe protecting biodiversity is integral to our mission of delivering sustainable water and waste solutions.”
SUEZ India, a leader in water and wastewater management since 1978, contributes directly to biodiversity preservation through its operations.
