Radico Khaitan, continued with its commitment towards Fit India Radico Khaitan strengthens its commitment towards the Fit India Movement movement – as the company added more new sports initiatives such as The Siri Fort Fit India ’ Sports Carnival 2019 and Friends Club Annual Sports Tournament 2019, to its list of sports events that the company is partnering with.
The four day Siri Fort Fit India ’ sports event which kicked off today – is going to cover some of the most popular sports tournaments such as bton, cricket, cyclathon, golf, marathon, soccer, tennis, among other sports. The event was promoted by Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi Member of Parliament, New Delhi. It witnessed the participation of over 800 high-profile dignitaries including Cabinet Secretaries (IAS), Government Officials and crème de la crème in the capital.
The Friends Club Annual Sports Tournament 2019 is taking place from15th November to 1st December, 2019. The tournament is an annual feature where over 350 participants from all walks of life will be competing in 8 different sports such as squash, tennis, bton, snooker, billiards, pool, table tennis and golf. Over 2000 matches are being held in the span of 16 days and prizes of over Rs.10 lakhs will be distributed to the winners.
These events are yet another initiative by Radico Khaitan to promote sports among the countrymen. Recently, the company provided financial assistance to 1500 children to for participation in the bike rally ‘Bikeathon 2019’ in Lucknow and conducted a Cyclothon partnered with the Asian Medical Institute in Faridabad. This year, it also collaborated with the 59th Inter Senior State Athletic Championship 2019 in association with PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, U.P. Athletics Association (UPAA) and Athletics Federation of India (AFI) in Lucknow to provide a platform to the athletes to qualify for The 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha. Radico Khaitan has also been organising the biggest annual sports event of Rampur, ‘Half Marathon’ were participants from neighbouring cities and states come all the way to take part. In the endeavour, Radico also organises T20, Day and Night Cricket Tournament on the district level for village cricket teams in Rampur.
