IIMUN “For Students,” is an initiative aimed at fostering international collaboration and diplomacy among young minds. This initiative was prominently highlighted at the IIMUN Delhi Conference 2024, where Vehaan Arora, a bright student from Grade 8 at The Orchids International School South City campus, emerged as a shining beacon of excellence. Vehaan received the first position and a medal for Best Delegate and a Certificate of Excellence in the Committee of NITI (AAYOG) showcasing exceptional skills in policy-making and strategic thinking at the IIMUN Delhi Conference 2023-2024.

Expressing her enthusiastic for the event, Mrs. Deya Banerjee, Principal at Orchids The International School-South City 1 Campus, Gurugram said, “This program embodies Orchids’ commitment to nurturing future leaders. By providing students with the opportunity to interact with esteemed leaders of India, we aim to inspire their participation in shaping the future of our nation and the world. I am confident that these discussions will leave a lasting impression on our students, equipping them with valuable knowledge and a ion for civic engagement. We are also incredibly proud of Vehaan’s outstanding achievement at the IIMUN Delhi Conference 2024. Winning the first position in the Niti Ayog category is a testament to his hard work, intelligence, and dedication. We are excited to see what the future holds for Vehaan and all our students as they continue to strive for excellence.”

Students gained valuable insights into the workings of Indian democracy and the discussions covered critical global issues, fostering a platform for students to express their perspectives and engage in constructive dialogue. Sharing his excitement, grade 8 student Vihaan Arora said: “I was very excited about the Lok Sabha visit because it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where we met respectable dignitaries like Shri Om Birla, Amish Tripathi, and Rishabh Shah. Also, winning the first position in the Niti Ayog category is an incredible honor. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to participate and demonstrate my skills. I thank my school, teachers and parents for always guiding me. This experience has truly inspired me to continue striving for excellence. We also had the opportunity to meet students from various schools and have interesting conversations with them.”

Equally elated, grade 8 student, Diyanshi said, “We all stood near the Parliament of India, the legislative body of India. It was a great opportunity that our school planned such an event to encourage the students and to know more about our own country.”
