Karad, 17 July 2024 — The Rotary Club of Karad and Rotaract Club of Karad City marked the commencement of their new Rotary International Year 2024-25 with the installation of their respective Presidents and Board of Directors at a prestigious ceremony held at Town Hall, Karad, on 12 July 2024.
The installation ceremony was a significant event attended by distinguished guests and of the Rotary and Rotaract communities. The chief guests for the evening were the esteemed Pshri Dr Tatyarao Lahane and Assistant Governor Rtn Rajiv Rawal, whose presence added grandeur to the occasion.
For the Rotary Club of Karad, Rtn Ramchandra Lakhole was ceremoniously collared as President, with Rtn Ananda Thorat taking the mantle of Secretary for the 2024-25 term. Both leaders expressed their dedication to upholding the club’s values and contributing to its legacy of service and community impact.
In parallel, the Rotaract Club of Karad City saw the installation of Rtr Azim Kagdi as President and Rtr Prathamesh Kamble as Secretary. The young leaders showcased their enthusiasm and commitment to driving the club’s initiatives forward with vigor and innovation.
During their inaugural addresses, the new Presidents of both clubs shared their visions and strategic plans for their tenures. They emphasized their commitment to fostering community engagement, expanding service projects, and enhancing the impact of Rotary and Rotaract activities within the region.
President Rtn Ramchandra Lakhole outlined his agenda, focusing on strengthening club hip, enhancing local outreach programs, and fostering partnerships with other service organizations. He stated, “Our goal is to build on the solid foundation laid by our predecessors and elevate our club’s contributions to new heights.”
Similarly, President Rtr Azim Kagdi highlighted the importance of youth engagement and the role of Rotaract in addressing contemporary social issues. “We aim to be the change-makers in our community, bringing fresh ideas and energy to tackle the challenges we face,” he asserted.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt rendition of “Vande Mataram,” symbolizing the clubs’ dedication to serving the nation and its people. The event was a resounding success, setting a positive tone for the Rotary year and reaffirming the clubs’ commitment to service above self.
